Katlyn and Family

After nine years of dedicated service to Linden Community Schools, athletic trainer Katlyn Bradley has made the difficult decision to step away from her role and accept a new opportunity at Swartz Creek. Bradley shared a heartfelt message reflecting on her time with Linden and the relationships built throughout her nearly decade-long career with the Eagles.

“After nine years as your athletic trainer, I’ve made the tough decision to step away for a new role at Swartz Creek,” Saunders said. “Linden has truly been more than just a workplace for me—it’s been home. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible student-athletes, dedicated coaches, and supportive families. I’ve celebrated big wins with you, supported you through tough losses and injuries, and watched so many athletes grow not just in their sport, but as people. Those moments and relationships are something I’ll always carry with me.”

Bradley also explained that the decision came down to balancing both career and family priorities.

“This decision wasn’t an easy one. In many ways, it would have been simpler to stay. But this new opportunity gives me a more flexible schedule, shorter drive, and most importantly a chance to spend more time at home with Odin — something that means everything to me in this season of life.”

Linden Community Schools expressed gratitude for Bradley’s years of dedication and professionalism. Throughout her tenure, she earned the respect of countless athletes, coaches, and families through her unwavering commitment to student-athlete health and safety while building meaningful relationships across the Linden athletic community.  Abigail Goodoe new LHS trainer with family

As Linden says goodbye to Bradley, the district is excited to welcome Abigail Goodroe as the new athletic trainer for Linden Community Schools. Goodroe brings more than 11 years of experience and a strong passion for supporting student-athlete wellness.

“I have been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 11 years and have always enjoyed working closely with athletes to keep them healthy, confident, motivated, and able to do what they enjoy,” Goodroe said. “I also work with the company Total Effect Cheer and have enjoyed my time being their athletic trainer for their summer camp seasons for the past three — going on four — summers. As a former competitive high school and college cheerleader, I have a deep passion for the sport.”

Goodroe’s background includes working with athletes across multiple sports and age levels, with an emphasis on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and helping athletes perform at their highest level.

Outside of athletics, Goodroe says family remains at the center of her life.

“Outside of work I have been married to my husband Thomas for 10 years, and we have our 2.5-year-old daughter Colette, who keeps things fun and busy,” she shared. “I also enjoy baking, puzzles, and anything Disney — movies, music, or planning our next trip.”

Goodroe expressed excitement about joining Linden Community Schools and becoming part of the district’s strong athletic tradition.

“I feel honored to join and serve the Linden community and become part of the Eagle Family.”

Linden Community Schools looks forward to the experience, energy, and care Goodroe will bring to the athletic department as she begins working with Linden student-athletes, coaches, and families in the coming school year.
