A huge shout out to our Central PALS group for last Friday's popcorn fun. Ms. Welch offered up ice cream as a prize for the class that sold the most popcorn. The response was crazy and our PALS volunteers bagged 999 bags of popcorn in one morning. Thank you PALS for all you do for our students and if you want to get involved with PALS at Central they meet in the Central cafeteria on the first Friday of every month, usually at 9am, but in March it will be 10am due to a school event.
Good afternoon elementary families. The transportation department has shared that Orange Star riders will be on the Orange Heart and will be dropped off first. Orange Heart riders will be dropping off approximately 20 minutes later than normal today.

Congratulations Owen on being selected as Central's Student of the Month. Ms. Elmer and Ms. Welch both had tons to say about Owen's work ethic, leadership and caring for his classmates. Congrats Owen, you are a great example of a Central Champion and what we can do when we put our mind and hearts into what we do.

This upcoming summer, eligible families will be able to receive money for select food items through the new Summer EBT program. The Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) program has officially ended.
However, the United States Department of Agriculture has approved a permanent Summer EBT program for eligible households and school districts.
Summer EBT benefits can be used to purchase:
🥕 fruits and vegetables
🍗 meat, poultry, and fish
🥛 dairy products
🥣 breads and cereals
🥨 other foods (such as snack foods and non-alcoholic beverages)
In order to receive Summer EBT benefits, your family must have a School Meals and Summer EBT Application on file, approved for free or reduced benefits, no later than February 13th, 2024.
