Congratulations Madison on being recognized as Central's student of the month. Madison was recognized by Mrs. Sulick and Mrs. Valley for her hard work, perseverance, and positive attitude. Ms. Elmer's class practiced multiplying fractions by whole numbers by calculating fraction amounts of skittles!
Ms. Elmer's class wrapped up our unit on adding fractions by making s'mores trail mix! Students doubled a recipe, determined how many cups were in 6 servings, and determined how much would be in 1 serving. Special thanks to Mrs. Howard for helping plan and execute this activity!

Belle has been working extra hard the last few days reading with Mrs. Welch's students. She gets to go into msm Elmer's and Mrs. Barber's class this week too.
Congratulations Declan on being selected as Central's student of the month for October by his specials teachers. They praised his work ethic, leadership skills and heart for helping others when nominating him. Way to go Declan on being a model student at Central.
Central's Student Council arranged a class competition, Socktober, where students donate items to make bags for children going into their first night of foster care. This year Mrs. Elmer's (2286 items) and Mrs. Welch's (1649 items) classes won prizes for bringing in the most items. When it was all counted up Central Students donated an amazing 5580 items to support area kids! Awesome work Central Champions and Student Council!

Mrs. Cooke's 4th grade class enjoyed the Think Energy presentation put on by Consumers Energy. They learned about saving energy in their homes and brought home cool bags with energy-saving tools!
